Square Point of Sale (POS) App Reviews

My account was hacked. Only way to contact them is via email form. So far received two auto-generated emails saying someone would contact me in next 24 hours. Um. I use this app DAILY. I cannot run my business without it. 24 hours?!?! What is this, 1984? Looking at PayPal today.

Work perfect

I used for years with no issue and loved and recommended but when I started using more my (now former) credit union started holding and rejecting deposits and support was completely worthless. They read from an unhelpful script and sat on their hands. I ultimately solved the problem myself but switched to a different processor. Square shook up the industry but then clearly got complacent. A good example of how not to run a disruptor. Despite years of recommending this service I cant anymore

DO NOT USE THIS APP. They keep your money at the end of your work days. I had scheduled deposit set for three days and my money still says pending. The representatives said I would get my money one day and it still hasnt come. DO NOT USE

I like square , I have used other processing and square has been the best , easiest and most simply design to read I know each day what my charges are and like that and my money is there when it is suppose to be .

It would be really helpful if EACH transaction would show the fee amount so I can keep records as I go without having to calculate every time. Thank you!

Easy to use and quick deposit. My small biz doesnt need annual fees and set ups. Thank you Square!

My advice? Look at PayPal or other alternatives for your needs. I have seen people use square at many events and got excited to be able to accept credit cards at art walks. Unfortunately I had some issues with the app and talked to customer service. After a long wait they got back to me basically saying "sorry, but while wed like you do do business with Square, it just isnt possible." I was appalled at their lack of explanation for why they had just denied me from using their service. My girlfriend also attempted to make an account but had the EXACT SAME ISSUE. Ive heard of other people having the same problem too. I guess they just dont like peoples business.. Tldr -horrible customer service -denied me service for no reason -denied my girlfriend service for no reason too

Easy to use keeps all my info at my fingertips and easy to transfer to quick books!! Best app for small businesses :)

Im a small business owner and Square is perfect for me. Very easy set up. When its time to make a sale it connects easily. I have the Square register on my Ipad. I open up Square, type in the amount I want to charge, I run the card and it tells when its complete. When all is done it asks me if I want to email my customer a receipt. Which I do. The fees are competitive with others, actually lower. Its all Easy Peasy!

I have not used it in a while so I tried to upload the app which I have had in the past and it just says "loading quote and never does. Sad, I have munrjesder and haveappreciated their service.

I have never had a an issue with my Square app or any of my card readers (I use the chip reader mostly). The quick deposits and invoices (for gift cards I sell over the phone), are two of my favorite things.

Long time user of Square. Started with the reader and my iPhone. Now using my iPad with Square stand. The latest improvements make it much easier to modify items and setup from the app instead of having to do it all from the website. One thing I see missing currently is the ability to set up a photo for categories. Individual items themselves can have pictures added to them, so why not categories as well. This would allow you to set up a category such as t-shirts with a picture on the register tab and once you select it, you can then see all the t-shirts in the group. Please add this. Otherwise, love the app.

Im so happy with this app/ tool of life it has made my life easier and made all my customers happy very thankful to have been introduce to this payment app I recommend this to everyone I wasnt paid to say this is for reals from the bottom of my heart.
