Square Point of Sale (POS) App Reviews

Please add the ability to use ANY Bluetooth Barcode scanner because I already have one and not purchasing another "supported" one. There is no reason to be restricting it.

It works well enough however I had 4 freezes and crashes within last week and lost sales because of malfunction. I stopped using square register for now until its fixed. In the meantime I use regular debit/credit processor for now. Im using square register with certified/approved cash register til and receipt printer.. With fresh kids kitchen display setup. Fix this square...

Love It. Use it all the time. Fees could be cheaper and have website integration but other than that I am happy!

My app keeps crashing. Please fix this. It wont even open!!!!!

Very slow processing and expensive

We were promised debit cards could be used 2 years ago ! Nothing to date

Tried to use it for the first time. Plugged in the reader, loaded the app and had my customer waiting with his credit card in hand. The app just kept a spinning circle going, and going, etc. My client finally gave up and went to a bank machine. Turns out the app cant handle a situation where no one has yet logged into the app and the reader is plugged in. Once I killed and restarted the app without the reader installed, I got the login prompt and was able to load the app. Too bad my first try using the reader failed.

Can you pllllleeeeaase bring the ability to bring up current unpaid invoices within the app, and pay them then and there? That would make it amazing!

Im trying to enter it manually and when I press credit/debit it wont let me add the card numbers but it says the sale was complete

My account was terminated without any forewarning. I called and emailed without any success then finally got a form email stating I was in violation of the legal terms and conditions of use (which I read over and am certain I was NOT). Very shady on Squares part!

I wish it was more consistent with the receipts. When I send a receipt through Register the person doesnt always get it. Even if I re-send a couple times still nothing, especially via text message. It would be great if it could save email addresses for repeat customers so you dont have to manually enter them every time. Also I would like to see a "seen" or "read" receipt option to make sure my client got it.

Really like the UI and all the backend options. Only using email invoice unfortunately. Lack of chip & pin or nfc a growing turn off in Canada. Mag strips are negativity viewed. Public actively avoid them these days it seems. Hope we get your new nfc reader soon. Chip & pin (not signature) be nice to some day!

Dont listen to other reviews square is great. Less risk than other point of sale systems!

I dont know what happened, but from the last update on January 25, Square is boa longer installed in my iPhone and when I try to install it again, it never works! After 30 minutes, the download is not complete ... ! I want my square I need it :( and I love this app. Help me.

I have tried and used square for consulting fee that i charged to my clients. Gave them all the information on me (passport, bank statement). Wasted a week to be told that Im high risk.. I have the cleanest history ever. Waste of time, i had to refund my customer and drove 4h to swipe his card. Thanks square

How come you stop posting details of updates ? Please dont go the Facebook way~ otherwise Great app!!

Switched from our banks CC processing solution and have never looked back:-)

Following the green bar walk through at the bottom, you will get to a point where it says to click the arrow at the top and the choose "add customer"...no such option exists there. Also, the experience on the iPhone feels very disjointed from the one online. Wish the two were better connected.

Really enjoy this app works great for my business. Only wish the done signing buttons were located somewhere else I find most of my customers end up clicking it before they are actually done signing.
